![]() | Generally, the turbines can be cheaper to build as we do not need tail components and our blades, in particular, are uniform extruded aluminium. Our turbines are quieter, as the ratio of tip speed to wind speed is generally lower. This is different to the blade tips on horizontal machines travel which at high speeds in good winds and are hence quite noisy. Vertical turbines are symmetrical in design and are better balanced than Horizontal ones, with fewer moving parts and so are intrinsically more robust and less expensive to produce. |
