Interest-free loans now available to British Farmers for energy saving technology11/03/2010British farmers are to have access to £12 million in interest-free loans to help them invest in energy-saving equipment and to bring renewable energy technology onto farms. The loans which range from £3,000 to £20,000 came into effect in February 2010 through the Carbon Trust. It is estimated that through take up of the loans, the energy bill of the agricultural sector will be cut by £4 million, with Individual farmers saving an average of £10,000 a year.more
